{"id":214,"date":"2019-09-21T12:51:32","date_gmt":"2019-09-21T12:51:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.midsummeropera.org.uk\/site\/?page_id=214"},"modified":"2019-09-21T12:51:32","modified_gmt":"2019-09-21T12:51:32","slug":"privacy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.midsummeropera.org.uk\/site\/privacy\/","title":{"rendered":"PRIVACY"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>MIDSUMMER OPERA DATA PRIVACY NOTICE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.&nbsp; Personal data<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Personal data is information that relates to a living individual who can be identified from that data. &nbsp;Identification can be by the information alone or in conjunction with any other information in the data controller\u2019s possession or likely to come into such possession. &nbsp;The processing of personal data is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (the \u201cGDPR\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. &nbsp;Midsummer Opera\u2019s Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This Notice sets out Midsummer Opera\u2019s policy in relation to data protection in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR. &nbsp;For the purposes of this document \u2018we\u2019 or the \u2018Company\u2019 means Midsummer Opera, and includes volunteers and contractors engaging in activities on behalf of the Company. &nbsp;We are the data controller (contact details below) and as such are responsible for deciding how your personal data is processed by us, and for what purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. &nbsp;How we process personal data<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Company complies with its obligations under the GDPR by<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>keeping personal data up to date<\/li><li>by storing and destroying it securely<\/li><li>by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data<\/li><li>by protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure<\/li><li>by not providing personal data to third parties, except where authorised to do so<\/li><li>by ensuring that appropriate technical measures are in place to protect personal data.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. &nbsp;Use of Personal Data<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Company uses personal data for the following purposes:<br>a) &nbsp;to manage Company activities, specifically rehearsals and performances but also<br>other events ancillary to the Company\u2019s activities<br>b) &nbsp;to consult in relation to matters concerning the Company<br>c) &nbsp;to administer the Company, including claiming Gift Aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. &nbsp;The legal basis for processing your personal data<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Explicit or implied consent of the data subject. &nbsp;The Company will keep data while it is still<br>current, or until you request in writing that it be deleted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6. &nbsp;Sharing personal data<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Personal data will be treated as strictly confidential and will only be shared with others for purposes connected with the Company. &nbsp;We will not share personal data with third parties other than for purposes connected with the Company without the consent of the data subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7. &nbsp;Your rights and your personal data<\/strong><br>Unless subject to an exemption under the GDPR, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>the right to request a copy of the personal data which the Company holds about you<\/li><li>the right to request that the Company correct any personal data if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date<\/li><li>the right to request your personal data is deleted where it is no longer necessary for the Company to retain such data<\/li><li>where your consent is the legal basis for processing your data, the right to withdraw your consent to the processing at any time<\/li><li>where legally applicable, the right to object to the processing of personal data<\/li><li>the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner\u2019s Office.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8. &nbsp;Further processing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the Company wishes to use your personal data for a new purpose, not covered by this Data Privacy Notice, then the Company will provide a new notice explaining this new use prior to<br>commencing the processing and setting out the relevant purposes and processing conditions.
